The following gives an overview of some of the consultancy services that Adit has undertaken to date:

The London Grid for Learning (LGfL) - The LGfL with which Adit is operationally integrated has on the behalf of all London Authorities let a £75m+ contract for a managed Pan London network delivering high capacity connectivity and services to 2,600 schools. Adit was engaged to review the existing contractual arrangements and make recommendations in consultation with the authorities whether to extend the existing contract beyond the current termination date of June 2009 or undertake a new OJEU procurement.

The Greater London Authority (GLA) - On the behalf of the GLA Adit organised and managed a “Thames Gateway – 21st Century Communications Infrastructure “seminar the purpose of which was to bring the together the various stakeholders and outline the GLA Policy for sustainable infrastructure in the Thames Gateway.

The London Borough of Lambeth (LBL) - Adit, using its unique access to established frameworks, assisted in the development of the technical specification and commercial procurement model successfully leading to the award of a £6M converged network contract.

Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) - The DWP has multi million pound contracts in place with both BT and EDS. There was a break clause in the agreements and the DWP selected the Adit to undertake a market assessment. Adit undertook detailed capability studies to identify suitably qualified alternative service providers who could deliver a holistic managed service.

The London Borough of Lewisham (LBL) - LBL with funding from the ODPM was tasked to undertake a feasibility study for wireless and Wi Max technology. Adit provided informed input into the business case and evaluated the resulting market responses within the context of an OJEU compliant procurement.

Newham 2012 Telecoms Project (Olympic host site) - The project is engaged with other LA’s, the ODA and TfL to extend the boroughs primary infrastructure, wireless, CCTV, Command and Control Centre and Digital media providing a sustainable legacy post Olympic Games in 2012. Adit as part of the team is responsible for identifying the appropriate procurement process for each work stream and in managing those processes on behalf of the authority.

Accelerate Nottingham - This not for profit partnership has engaged with Adit to manage a Network Aggregation Forum for the Greater Nottingham Partnership. There has been a desire on the part of its member councils, education departments and the emergency services to investigate the potential of investing in new technologies, creating cost efficiencies through developing a ubiquitous network to facilitate better ways of working including mobility and shared services.

Computers for Pupils (CfP) - Adit was engaged by LGfL on behalf of the London LA’s to project manage and quality assure the delivery by the prime selected service provider for the provision of hardware and connectivity to disadvantaged pupils across Greater London, as part of a national DCSF project addressing the “Digital Divide”.

The London Borough of Westminster - Consultancy and project management service implementing the process for hardware, software and connectivity to 11 beneficiary schools in delivery of the DCSF Computers for Pupils programme.
